Copyright Policy

NeverFar lets people upload local video files or link YouTube videos to watch together. It's meant for personal use — sharing your own recordings, or watching something you already have the right to watch with someone you invited into your own private room. It's not meant to be a way around copyright.
Your responsibility
If you upload a video file, you're confirming you have the right to share it with the people in your room. NeverFar rooms are private and short-lived by design (files are deleted the moment everyone leaves, or within 3 days at the latest) — but that doesn't change who's responsible for what gets uploaded. That's you, not us.
Reporting a concern
If you believe content shared through NeverFar infringes your copyright, email grimer1410@gmail.com with:
- A description of the copyrighted work you believe was infringed.
- The room link or enough detail to identify where it happened, if you have it.
- Your contact information.
- A statement that you have a good-faith belief the use isn't authorized, and that the information you're providing is accurate.
Given how quickly room content already expires on its own, many reports will resolve themselves — but a direct report will be reviewed and, where content is still live, removed.
Repeat infringement
Accounts, IPs, or usage patterns associated with repeated copyright infringement will be blocked from creating or joining rooms. Because NeverFar doesn't use accounts, this is tracked by whatever identifying signal is available (such as IP address) rather than a login — enforcement is done in good faith based on the information available at the time.
Counter-notice
If you believe content of yours was removed in error, email the same address with an explanation — it'll be reviewed in good faith.
A note on scope
NeverFar is an independent project run by one person, not a company with a formally registered copyright agent. This policy describes how copyright concerns are actually handled in practice — please still reach out directly with any concern, and it will be taken seriously.
